Film Studies homework







Medium shot- is a camera angle shot from a medium distance. This is used to show the scene for above the knees to above the head.




Medium long shot- a medium long shot is the same as a medium shot just a bit further away so you can see a bit more of the scene. This is used so you get to see the expression on the person face also getting more information form what is going on around the person.

                                   

Long shot- a long shot is when the shot shows the entire object or human figure. This is used so you can see someone walking or moving around in the scene.




                                    

 Dutch tilt- when the camera is tiled to show the scene on a angle. This is used to show you the scene on an angle.

                                        

A extreme long shot- is a shot that shows whole view of the scene also including the whole object and people on the scene but just more in the shot than in a long shot. This is used to show different shot sizes so it can influence the meaning which an audience can interpret.



Tilt up and down - a tilt up and down is when the person behind the camera tilt the camera up or down to create the moment of something moving up for example a person nodding their head and the camera following it



tracking shot- tracking shot is when the camera is on a dolly and pulled back or forwards. this is used to add effect of the camera moving in or out causes tension.


crane shot- a crane shot is when the shot is when a camera is on a crane and is pulled above the actors or pulled away from them. 




 hand held shot- a hand held shot is when the camera is held in someones hand. the one on the left is the hand held shot, this can be used to give the effect of people running.



bird eye shot- a bird eye shot is when the the view from the camera is up really high and is looking down on whatever there filming 



 zoom shot- a zoom shot is when the camera is zoomed in on the shot, to get closer to the actor or what there filming to create effect and cause tension to the actor or whats being filmed
